Treasures from a Bygone Era:: Arithmometer (Antiques & Reproductions) Arithmometer
In the `30s-`40s, these pinwheel-type mechanical adding machines (a.k.a. arithmometers) were fixtures in banks, accounting offices and stores. Very few of the old machines survived, were rescued, and restored to their original condition. Russian markings, including CCCP, plainly visible on each. Dubbed "Felix" (after Felix Dherzhinskiye). Hundreds of tiny gears inside - the precision operation will amaze you.  12"x5 1/2 "x5". 10 lbs. Quantities limited.
Treasures from a Bygone Era:: Swiss phone (Antiques & Reproductions) Swiss phone
These were originally built in Switzerland in the '50s-'60s. Amazingly, they were never used and are still in perfect/brand new condition. The Swiss mania for quality rings true in the rugged rotary dial, chrome steel bells and heavy bakelite handle. The plethora of switches and wires inside are an engineer's dream. Classic design will add panache to any room. Fully-functioning. Plug fits American phone jacks. 6"x5". 4 lbs.

Sovietski Collection:: Brass troika bell (Antiques & Reproductions) Brass troika bell
In 19th century Russia, troikas - sleighs drawn by three horses - were a common method of transportation for noblemen. Their brass bells rang true, signalling family members and villagers of the troika's approach. We have a few genuine bells, vintage late 19th century. Many are adorned, in Old Church Slavonic or Tsarist-era Russian, with a famous proverb or saying.  No two exactly the same. Approximately 4"x4" and 1 1/2 lbs.
